One of the most incredible group of islands in the Indian Ocean are the Maldives, which consist of more than one thousand islands. But only about two hundred of them are inhabited, which means that there is plenty of natural beauty, and sailors can easily explore it during their trips. There are also excellent conditions to dive and admire the ancient coral reefs and observe the marine life. Maldives are famous among many tourists for luxurious resorts, which draw attention of those who are looking for some privacy in a real paradise. If you come here even once, you will always want to come back and enjoy some more of the incredible atmosphere of the Maldives. Another destination that travellers love is of course Mauritius, situated off the coast of Africa, that every year draws thousands of tourists, who love the island itself and the hospitality of people there. You won’t get bored on Mauritius, as there are lots of outstanding parks and attractions. If you decide to get off the magical beaches for a moment, you can visit some of the most amazing natural parks in the world. What is more, Mauritius also offers visitors great hiking trails, thanks to which you get a chance to spend you holidays actively. And the views from the top of the hills are just breathtaking. While sailing through the Indian Ocean, you just cannot omit the Seychelles, as those islands are also pretty exquisite. The archipelago consists of 115 islands, but not all of them are inhabited. The Seychelles are known as very eco-friendly area, as people there are really cautious about the natural beauty of their islands. Discovering the national parks there can be a real adventure, and if you are lucky enough, you may even get a written permission to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Aldabra Islands. |
